What follows is a small sample of workshops that are close to my heart. One of my great loves is in facilitating individuals and groups in working with expressive media. This includes working with paints, pastels, clay and collage, sand play, dance, music, poetry, creative writing, body work, costume, imagery and dream work.
These can be tailor made for a day, a weekend or even longer. Each workshop stands alone, but they also complement and enhance one another when offered as a series. These workshops offer the opportunity for personal development and a taster for working alongside others in this way. Follow on workshops have a greater focus on professional development as a counsellor working with expressive media.
All of the workshop days are a mix of tutor input and experiential learning which take the form of many varied activities. These activities often include expressive media, but it’s not compulsory to get your hands dirty if you don’t want to. I strive to promote respect and acceptance to everyone so that there is no barrier or expectation or criticism, but rather a sense that individuals can do it their way and feel supported in doing so.
I run these courses independently from time to time as a response to interest. I also deliver these courses on behalf of groups and organisations to complement their training programmes.
